 This French site is situated about 45 minutes drive from Channel tunnel and is quite close to the ferry ports of Calais and Dunkerque. The down side to this is that the site is very busy with overnighters.
The site has 2 main fields which are shared by Statics and touring vans, and there are also areas for tents. Each field has its own ‘Services’ block with toilets, showers, private washing cubicles, dish washing sinks, hot water is free and a chemical disposal point.
 The block in the field furthest from the Chateau, the field we were on, looks to be almost new, the toilets are ‘UK’ style (with seats) and paper was provided. My only complaint is the open air urinals, I’m afraid I just can’t get used to taking a leak in public.
The reception staff, who speak English, were most helpful. Your pitch is allocated to you, which may not please some people. Pitches were a good size and most seemed to have some shelter.
Next to the reception are the ‘Take away’ (Open 16:30 to 20:30) and the Restaurant/Bar with internal and external Seating areas. WiFi Internet is available in the Bar area (60mins = €8), there is also an Internet terminal in the reception (30mins = €5, 60mins = €8 or 2hrs = €15).
We did try the ‘Take away’ - I didn’t know you could make a Cheese Burgers so small, and at €2.50 I couldn’t recommend it. After that we didn’t try the restaurant, but it seemed quite popular.
Next to the Bar area is a small Play area for youngish children and behind this is the 2 Swimming Pools. The smaller of the 2 pools is Heated, please note; neither of the pools appeared to have any form of Depth marking and no life guard.
There are ample (short) paths though the woods to keep dog owners (or even their dogs) happy.
There’s no shop on site, but there is a (Smallish) Champion Super market about 800mts up the road towards Watten.
Larger super markets can be found on the road to St Omer, we visited an Auchan Petrol Station, Diesel €1.032 per litre (June ’07).

If you're visiting out of Peak season, pay with ‘Camping Cheques’
If you’re going to visit both the Blockhaus and La Cupole, buy a Duel ticket that covers both attractions. Joint Ticket cost €13; separate tickets cost €16 (Adults)
